Dispute Prevention & Resolution: Navigating the new cybersecurity and data privacy landscape
New cybersecurity threats and data privacy regulations are increasingly impacting the dispute resolution landscape. At this event, a panel of distinguished speakers will discuss the anatomy of a cyberattack to understand current cybersecurity threats and will discuss approaches large and small organizations can adopt to protect themselves.
The panel will also discuss current trends in data privacy regulation, particularly as they relate to cybersecurity, as well as the draft cybersecurity protocol for international arbitration recently released by the Working Group formed by the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), together with the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) and the New York City Bar Association (NYCBA). The Draft Protocol is meant to raise awareness about cybersecurity risks within the international arbitration community and to propose a framework that parties and arbitrators can look to in order to determine reasonable cybersecurity measures for their arbitrations.
The event will be hosted live at the offices of BLG in Toronto on December 7, 2018, 8-10 am, and it will also offered as a live webinar.
