Tribunal Secretaries Roadshow: An LCIA Insight Behind the Curtain
In conjunction with the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG) and Arbitration Place, the LCIA will hold the seminar Tribunal Secretaries Roadshow on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Arbitration Place, Toronto.
On 26 October 2017, the LCIA introduced changes to the tribunal secretaries section of its Notes for Arbitrators. These changes emphasize the central role of communication and consent in appointing a tribunal secretary, and ensure that parties are given the opportunity to have their say.
This seminar is the twelfth in the series of events designed to help communicate these changes. To demonstrate the new tribunal secretary procedures in action, this event will feature a role play created in cooperation with the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), in which prominent members of the international arbitration community will take on the role of arbitrators and counsel, following which there will be time for Q&A with the LCIA Director General.
Who Should Attend Arbitrators, in-house counsel, practitioners, academics, students and members of the local and international business community interested in, and affected by, current developments in arbitration and best practice.
