Thomas Webster

Tom Webster is a leading arbitrator active in particular in Europe and the United Kingdom. He has acted as arbitrator and appeared as counsel in a wide variety of international arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, UNCITRAL, Swiss Chambers, AAA, ICDR and Stockholm Rules. He has handled arbitrations subject to English, US, French, Canadian, Swiss, Turkish, Spanish, Polish, Egyptian, Philippine, German law and has conducted arbitrations in English, French and German. He is admitted to practice in Ontario, England, New York and France.
Tom is also a leading author in the area of international arbitration including the Handbook of ICC Arbitration (3rd edition) (with Michael Bühler), the Handbook of UNCITRAL Arbitration, the Handbook of Investment Arbitration and numerous articles on arbitration and arbitration procedure. He was a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration from 2006 until 2012.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the lists of arbitrators of a number of leading arbitration institutions. He was educated at the University of Toronto (JD), Cambridge University (LL.M.) and the University of Paris I (DEA).
In addition to his arbitration practice, Tom is active as a mediator particularly in cross border and dual language mediations.
